Zen Master Seung Sahn

Zen Master Seung Sahn was drafted into the South Korean army in 1953—he served as an army Chaplain and then as Captain for almost five years of active duty, after leaving the Korean Army he took over for Ko Bong as Guiding Teacher of Hwa Gae Sah in Seoul, South Korea in 1957.

My friend Henry Grevemberg posted this picture on his blog so I thought I'd share it.

Hello, Paul. Would you know where I could take the 48 Bodhisattva Precepts? I'm in southern Ontario, but could travel to the States.

All of this depends upon your commitment to the Dharma. Usually the 48 Bodhisattva Precepts aren't given to students if they haven't already taken the sixteen precepts. So I'd like to know your background and you can email me at dochong@mindless.com
