Today is Buddha's Birthday


As today is Buddha's Birthday, (Lunar Calendar) I thought I'd post our Ceremony for Buddha's Birthday.

I. Lighting of candles and incense

Happy birthday. Silver City Zen Center is having their birthday party (and a jukai) on May 18. I've never witnessed these Soto-style ceremonies before, so I'll be a deer in the headlights. (I still giggle when I sit with them and have to put my kasa on top of my head.)
